After graduating from University College London with a degree in History, James worked in the television industry for two years on some of ITV’s most popular news and entertainment productions. During these years he completed Law School at the University of Law in London, before securing his training contract with ITV’s lawyers, Charles Russell Speechlys. James was admitted to practice as a Solicitor in England & Wales in 2008, and he qualified into Charles Russell’s top-tier private client team. During his time at Charles Russell, James advised clients on all areas of private client law, with a particular focus on the media and entertainment sectors. After a year on sabbatical working on a Hollywood film production, James recognised that he could combine his legal expertise with his passion for the entertainment industry, which prompted his decision to set up his own private client law practice in London in 2016.
